These terms apply when you use ClearGuard or buy ClearGuard Pro.

Who may use ClearGuard

You must be at least 18 and legally able to agree to these terms. ClearGuard is for personal self-accountability. Do not use it to monitor another adult without their knowledge and consent.

What ClearGuard does

ClearGuard is a self-accountability tool for adults. It can reduce access to known explicit content and distractions, but no blocker can guarantee that every page, app, browser, network, or newly created address will be blocked.

Your device

Some protection depends on permissions and settings that a device owner can change or remove. Check the status ClearGuard shows and repair anything marked Needs Attention.

Accounts and subscriptions

Local Free protection does not require an account. If you create an account, keep access to your email and recovery key secure and tell support promptly if you believe someone else has access.

ClearGuard Pro is an auto-renewing monthly or annual subscription. The purchase screen shows the exact price and renewal terms. Manage or cancel through Apple, Google Play, or Stripe, depending on where you subscribed.

If Pro ends, local Free protection remains available. Features marked Pro may stop accepting new changes, but ClearGuard will not silently weaken settings already applied on your devices.

Acceptable use

Use ClearGuard lawfully and do not interfere with the service, attempt to access another person’s account or private data, evade security controls, or use the product to harm or secretly monitor someone else. You may not resell ClearGuard or copy and distribute its software except where applicable law or an open-source license allows it.

Ownership

ClearGuard and its licensors own the product, branding, and materials, excluding content you provide and components offered under separate open-source licenses. These terms give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the product while you follow them.

Recovery

ClearGuard is not medical care, diagnosis, treatment, emergency support, or a substitute for a qualified professional. The 30-day Recovery program will not launch until its content completes independent professional review.

Support and refunds

For product or billing help, email ClearGuard support. Refunds are handled by the store or payment provider that processed your purchase.

Availability and ending use

Features may change as operating systems, browsers, and stores change. You may stop using ClearGuard at any time. ClearGuard may suspend access for serious misuse, security risk, or legal requirements, and will provide notice when reasonably possible.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent allowed by law, ClearGuard is provided without a guarantee that it will always be available or block every item. ClearGuard is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses caused by use of the product. These terms do not limit rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow ClearGuard to waive.

Changes and contact

Material changes to these terms will be posted here with a new effective date. Questions about these terms can be sent to support@useclearguard.com.
